Botox

Botox is an injection done by the doctor to the forehead, in between the eyebrows and around the eyes to smooth out fine lines and deep wrinkles.  It is purified protein that, when injected, temporarily decreases muscle movement to the area causing the muscle to relax and the wrinkles to disappear.  Once injected, Botox takes three to seven days to take full effect, it lasts approximately 3 months.  One CC will treat one of the areas listed above, 2  CC's will treat all of the areas.

 Juverderm

Juvederm is an injectable gel done by the doctor to fill in lines.  The gel is made from hyaluronic acid which is a substance naturally found in the body.  It can be used in any areas that need plumping including lips. nasal labial folds (smile lines) and cheeks.  The results are instant and the product last between 6-9 months.  There may be mild swelling and bruising following this procedure.  Juvederm Ultra is used for most mouth areas and Juvederm Ultra Plus is used for deeper lines.  1 CC is usually adequate for the mouth area, an addition CC is needed to do the cheeek.

Prevelle

Prevelle is an injectable gel much similar to Juvederm with two major differences.  1.  It is mixed with lidocaine, a local anesthesia, making this injection less painful to the patient.  2.  It only lasts 6 weeks to 3 months.  This is a great product for people with have never done injections before.

Lasers

The laser we will be offering is called ProFractional.  This laser will be done by our physicians assistant.  ProFractional is fractionalized laser, meaning that it treats only a fraction of the skin in each procedure, causing less downtime.  The lastest in laser tchnology, ProFractional treatmetns go deep into the facial skin and cause a new collagen foundation to form.  This leads to visisble improvemtns in patient's wrinkles, skin tone, texture, and pigmentation.  Clinical studies have shown ProFractional procedures to be useful for treating acne scars.  It can be the treatment of choice for sun damaged skin, acne scars, and fine wrinkles.  The skin will have minor pinpoint bleeding the day of the procedure and look like a bad sunburn for 3-5 days following.  ProFractional is done in a series 3 for optimal results.  The treatments are scpaced 1 month apart.  It can be done to the entire face or specific areas such as the mouth area.  Tropical numbing cream is applied for 30 minutes prior to the procedure.
